As public perception of social welfare evolved over time, the roles and functions of the Department of Social Welfare (DOSW) also experience transformations, accordingly. "Humanity, priority for the disadvantaged, family orientation, service integrations, and civic participation" are at the heart of DOSW’s service principles. We believe that uniting public and private efforts is the most effective formula to raising awareness and resources to meet welfare needs most efficiently.
